In cases where damage to the boot does not affect the function of the ball joint, a simple replacement of the boot will be sufficient.

Most readers will probably understand the wording of the headline as quite a postulate, and at Triscan we are also quite surprised by the results of an analysis based on TecDoc data. It shows that Triscan has a better coverage than the suppliers having specialised in Japanese and Asian cars.

The analysis
In the analysis the linking of several product lines of Triscan’s to the Danish, German, French and Polish car parcs is compared to spare part distributors promoting themselves as being specialists in Asian cars.

A defective steering rack or power steering pump is never a pleasant experience for the car owner, but the repairs that need to be done can soon turn out to be even more extensive if the mechanic does not remember to clean the hydraulic system when installing the new power steering pump or steering rack. A new spare part in an unclean servo system can lead to undesirable wear of the servo system components, and in the worst case scenario they may be damaged after a short time.

The first half of 2014 has now almost passed, and an update on Triscan’s situation will be appropriate.

2013 was a good year for Triscan. We managed to increase our turnover by nearly 20% compared to 2012. Our profit (EBIT) improved by more than 30% to 15 MIO. DKK. We experienced a growth in most of our markets, but it was our sales in Germany which increased the most.

Our investment in two new warehouses in Germany and a considerable expansion of our central warehouse in Brabrand, have entailed an increase in inventory investments of more than 10 MIO. DKK.

There is a growing demand for gearshift cables - and with more than 105 references, we can now offer a wide coverage of the market. We are, for example, the only supplier on the free aftermarket who can offer gearshift cables for Mazda 6 - generation 2003 and 2008 :

In the new ON/OFF water pump the flow of coolant is cut off in cold-start situations, so that the engine quickly reaches its operating temperature.

Background
The EURO 6 standard for passenger cars becomes effective in 2015, and it further strengthens the requirements for how much new cars may pollute. As a direct consequence of this there is a great demand on the ingenuity of developers of new car engines . All components and systems in and around the engine are subject to new innovations - including the water pump.

The water pump is too often and quite erroneously pointed out as the culprit in damage. In most cases, however, it is not the water pump itself, but other circumstances which eventually cause the water pump to fail.

The reason for choosing Peter Bogdan Kierklo as Triscans new Sales Manager is largely due to the linguistic and cultural abilities that he possesses. Peter is originally born in Poland and came to Denmark in 1984 where he trained to be a mechanical engineer at Odense Technical College.

Triscan’s steering program, with more than 6,000 references, is Europe's largest, and once again it has growing pains. The latest addition consists of 44 references in electrical shafts being the latest development within power steering systems, perhaps better known as EPS (Electric Power Steering).
