The original handbrake cables to a Renault Grand Scenic with an electric handbrake is only available if you buy the complete unit with a control box, a motor and housing (price approx. € 470) OE ref. 360101216R.

But not all repairs need replacing of the control box, the motor and the housing. So there is money to save if only the cable needs to be replaced. And as the only ones on the market, Triscan now stocks handbrake cables as a separate unit (Triscan ref. 8140251201).

The increased demand for even more comfort in cars, e.g. air conditioning, seat heating and other comfort facilities, puts pressure on the capacity of the car’s alternator. Therefore, the car manufacturers have started using even more powerful alternators, which especially in situations of deceleration put strain on the micro-v belt.

The VAG-type
This type of clutch cable has dominated the free aftermarket and has almost become synonymous with clutch cables with automatic adjustment. This technique is found originally on VAG but has been adapted to PSA models as well. 

The thermostat has evolved over the years from the well-known simple, conventional thermostat without bypass valve over thermostats built into the housing  -  at first in metal and later in plastic -  and where the temperature of the cooling  water  determines the opening of the thermostat, up to the latest types where the opening of the thermostat is electrically or electronically controlled via the vehicle engine management.

Triscan has introduced two references (8500295064 + 8500295063) within track control arms for the mini car triplets VW Up, Seat Mii and Skoda Citigo. The track control arms are  made by Triscan’s own production tools in the usual OE quality.
