When changing the timing belt on 2.0 Ford EcoBlue engines, it is generally a good idea to change the timing belt drive cover at the same time, because it breaks when it is dismantled.

Whether you should use one or the other variant is unfortunately not defined by engine code or the like. According to Ford, the criterion that separates the two is given as "Less holes". What Ford is referring to here are two holes in the cover that do not appear when talking about the variant "Less holes”.
