Although small and medium-sized companies – including Triscan – are not obliged to prepare a sustainability report, we have decided to do so going forward.
Based on the voluntary scheme VSME (Voluntary reporting standard for SMEs), we will be ready with our first sustainability report for the financial year 2024 by the end of 2025. For those of our partners for whom it may be relevant, Triscan will soon be able to accommodate requests for ESG data.
"With the ever-increasing global focus on sustainability, it is also important for a company like Triscan to show that we not only deliver high-quality products but do so with a conscious approach to the environment and society. Although we have implemented a number of initiatives over the past decades, from energy optimisation to providing job opportunities to those on the edge of the labour market, last year we decided to integrate ESG practices into our operations." – Michael Juul Hansen, CEO, Triscan a/s.

To guide the transformation, Marie Markman has been hired as ESG Manager and Compliance Officer back in 2024 and to ensure a good ESG reporting process, a collaboration has been entered into with esgResilience. The partnership has provided a solid basis for understanding the reporting requirements that must be met. With a detailed ESG Analytics report, we have also gained valuable strategic insights, which have subsequently formed the basis for meaningful discussions at both management and board level.
"While we are still learning, our goal is to incorporate ESG topics into our business strategy. We see it as a way to both meet new regulatory requirements and strengthen our overall business model." – Marie Markman, ESG Manager and Compliance Officer, Triscan a/s.

We are now reviewing the double materiality assessment that we carried out in 2024 to ensure that all relevant knowledge is included. Measuring emissions on an annual basis is a start, as we want to incorporate significant ESG factors into our operations and reporting.
"We are experiencing an increasing demand from our partners for sustainability data. We want to be at the forefront and ensure that we contribute positively to the green transition," – Marie Markman, ESG Manager and Compliance Officer, Triscan a/s.
As our ESG strategy continues to evolve, we can see how powerful a tool it is to drive meaningful and long-term change.
