The first half of 2014 has now almost passed, and an update on Triscan’s situation will be appropriate.
2013 was a good year for Triscan. We managed to increase our turnover by nearly 20% compared to 2012. Our profit (EBIT) improved by more than 30% to 15 MIO. DKK. We experienced a growth in most of our markets, but it was our sales in Germany which increased the most.
Our investment in two new warehouses in Germany and a considerable expansion of our central warehouse in Brabrand, have entailed an increase in inventory investments of more than 10 MIO. DKK.
We know that the ability to deliver right on time, as well as a wide coverage, competitive prices and high quality products are the key success factors for our customers. Disciplined focus on our core competences and thus a strengthening of our overall offer to wholesalers and distributors in Europe are significant reasons for our results.
The springtime has not been without problems. The implementation of a new ERP system by January 1st 2014, where we replaced the Microsoft Axapta 2003 with Axapta 2012R2, was a bigger challenge than expected. Especially the integration of the support systems such as TecDoc, TecCom and our storage location system, Apport, has been quite challenging for our system suppliers. So in spite of a very thorough planning from our side, several of our customers have, unfortunately, experienced technical problems and annoyances.
I apologize for the problems that we have caused, but still I am pleased that we are very close to being fully in place now. At the same time, I thank you for the support and the patience, which you have shown us - it puts demand on us.
So far we have been able to continue the progress from 2013. Our turnover is increasing compared to 2013, and we have improved our earnings.
In 2014 and 2015, we will strengthen our company by making investments, all of which are designed to enhance our product offerings to our customers:
- New niche product in the autumn
- Optimization of Axapta 2012
- Strengthened efforts within sales and back office support
- Sales efforts in Eastern Europe
- Expansion of the storage capacity in Arhus
- Optimization of stocks in all warehouses
- Expansion of the logistics capacity / quality
- Development / training of staff
- Investing in a second manufacturing company
We are very pleased with the cooperation with our partners, and we greatly appreciate your loyalty.
We have experienced a large increase of new customers for the past 2 years – we welcome all of you.
We thank all of our customers for the business we are doing together.
We want to grow with you and be a valuable asset in your business. We can therefore assure you thatyou will see an even stronger Triscan with an even stronger concept in the future.
Of course, you are welcome to contact us if you want us to elaborate on any of the topics.
We wish you all a nice summer.
Yours Sincerely,
John Iversen, CEO
