Engine suspensions for TESLA Model S, Model X, Model Y and Model 3

Tech news

Our extensive range of parts for TESLA has just been expanded with 8 references in engine suspensions for both Model S, Model X, Model Y and Model 3.

In addition to serving as an attachment point for the engine, the engine suspension must minimize the transmission of the engine's vibrations to the rest of the vehicle – vibrations that will typically be experienced as noise. The engine suspension is typically made of a combination of metal and rubber - and typically breaks due to a combination of mechanical stress, material fatigue and environmental influences. It is inevitable that the rubber in the engine suspension over time becomes hard, fragile and cracks. But several factors can contribute accelerating the degradation and reduce its ability to absorb vibrations.

  • Heat and cold from the surroundings
  • High loads – including heavy accelerations, hard driving or heavy loads
  • Chemical impact from leakage – oil, brake or coolant

Typical symptoms of faulty engine suspensions:

  • Strong vibrations in the cabin
  • Clunk sounds when accelerating
  • The motor moves abnormally when accelerating, decelerating and under high load
