When air conditioning hoses need to be replaced due to leakiness, contamination or damage – e.g. in connection with the replacement of parts of the AC system – there has, until now, rarely been any alternative to using expensive OE parts.
Although they are subject to embrittlement, contamination, and damaging, air conditioning hoses are rarely found in the independent aftermarket. The reason for this is probably because AC hoses very often have a complex design which makes them fairly difficult to manufacture.
Triscan now tackles this problem by offering an alternative to the expensive OE hoses. After two years of intensive development work, we are now launching 300 references, which will be followed by another 350 references in the second half of the year. The program is based on extensive market data – the most searched OE numbers for AC hoses that are in demand at workshop level across Europe – and includes low-pressure, high-pressure and combination hoses.
"From the very beginning, this range is unique in the aftermarket in terms of its range and availability. The program contains several hundred first-time marketing references. When it comes to cataloguing, the data quality is light years ahead of the competition – and thus unsurpassed. All hoses are manufactured by one of the largest OEMs of air conditioning hoses in the world. The hoses are 3D scanned and one hundred percent identical to the original sample – and therefore 1:1 compatible in terms of hoses, pipes, fittings, angles and bends.", says Bo Schønfeld, CCO, Triscan.
To ensure correct dimensions, bends and positioning of fittings, fixtures for each reference are used for assembly as well as quality assurance, thus avoiding problems during later installation.

To ensure dimensional accuracy, the pipes and pipe-hose combinations are assembled using fixtures
