The handbrake cable with the following OE-no. is listed as a discontinued item at Volvo: 30742642, 31262940 and 31257680 (Triscan ref. 814027141). According to Volvo, the handbrake cable can be replaced with the following OE-no.: 31340068 and 31362965 (Triscan ref. 814027153). However, this is not possible because the brackets for attaching the handbrake cable with part number 814027141 is offset 10 mm from 814027153 on the vehicle.
TRISCAN has therefore developed a modified version of the handbrake cable 814027153, where the brackets on the cable can be moved to compensate for the difference - see video here...
Regardless of which of the above 5 OE-numbers is needed, having one part number ensures that no unexpected problems arise at workshop level.
The modified brake cable is only available at TRISCAN and is available immediately.
